Dinner at Boucherie on Friday night. Who wants to come?

We can probably do a group of about ten, since it's a small spot, and we should probably do a 5:30 dinner since ifn there's gonna be a cocktail meetup in the Quarter, we'll have to take the streetcar to the other end of town. (Boucherie is way way Uptown near the Riverbend.)

I have 2 other folks who want to, so MeMail me or drop a note here, and I'll plan to call on Friday to see what they have available.

Actually, I'll probably back out. There looks to be four of us at least coming from Houston and we don't want to crowd the whole place out. We'll be in the Quarter, so we can find something else to do and meet up with y'all for a pub crawl or something.

I'm jonesing for that bacon brownie too....I prefer cake to raised doughnuts; and it wasn't until my last trip to NOLA that I discovered how good bread pudding can be (for some reason my mother always served it cold).

Actually, it looks dicey that we'll be able to be in town by 5:30- we're leaving AVL at 6am and when I was drunk and posted above, my sense of time was all warped in a non-cult-film-ish sort of way. If there are two others that can definitely make it there on time, give them the spots. Otherwise, we may call, or tweet, or telepathize, if the road gods are kind and we can indeed Bouche with y'all.

I think we're going to cede our places to ColdChef and tizzie.

I'd love to come and we might be able to swing by for dessert (or drinks afterwards) but we're finally getting some chillout downtime after a sold dy of travel yesterday. n_o_d and umbu are playing some music and I'm waiting for luazinha to get back from work so I can show her the secret "I want to be a librarian" handshake/gang signs so an early dinner is going to be a squeeze for us and we're fully imbued with the Big Easy vibe. Please have fun and we'll try to catch up with you for drinks.
