Volunteers!

Two volunteer opportunities: a Volunteer Day at the meetup space, Saturday July 11, 2-8 p.m., and door people during the meetup. Also, we need a few things for the space, and a vehicle to drive it all around.

There is still some building, painting and cleaning to do in the meetup space. If you like working with your hands, showing off your big muscles, come on over Saturday July 11 between 2-8 p.m. Drop a line in this thread or via MeMail for directions to the space. Wear ratty clothes. If you're unavailable Saturday but want to help out preparing the space for the party, please contact StickyCarpet.

We could really use someone with a large vehicle to help pick up some things around the city; please drop fuq a line if you'd be able to help out with this.

Any of the following things would be helpful in the space, please bring them Saturday or any other time you can coordinate with StickyCarpet: fans, trash cans, chairs, coolers.

If you are a friendly soul, please consider signing up to do Door Duty on the day of the party. We're going to have a sign-in table, with a sheet to keep track of who comes and some name tags for those who want to wear them. It'll be a great way to meet people. Your shift can be as short or as long as you want, but please only commit to a time you'll be sure you'll be able to do. Party runs from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Drop me a MeMail if you're interested in this; I'll put together a schedule based on everyone's availability.

Thanks to all who have MeMailed me about door duty so far; I'll have the final schedule in a few days. We are set until midnight; any night owls brave enough for after that?
