We need to pick a date and time between July 17 and July 19 and a location.

I'm already thinking of going to the Toronto meetup, but I'll watch this thread with interest as Edmonton is a lot closer to where I live.

I am definitely game for a meetup. As for a place, how about O'Byrne's on WhyteAve?

O'Byrne's is a possibility, although it's a zoo on weekends, and so we'd have an interesting time finding seating.

If we're thinking Whyte, I'm more inclined to Devlin's.

I'm about 3.5h south of Edmonton (I'm sure you know where I mean), but I'm interested if a Calgary group isn't formed. Anywhere without an absurd noise level and seating for all of us sounds great. Excellent food/snacks would be an asset.

Good point Chris. I wasn't paying attention that this is on a weekend. Pretty much, any place on Whyte ave or downtown is cool with me.

I'm in Lethbridge, but would consider carpooling up if anyone from Calgary is interested. That's a long way to go for a party, but worth it I'm sure.

Haven't seen a peep from so_ since the initial posting, really. I'm shit at organizing stuff like this, or I'd step up (can't take over, I guess). Maybe a MeMail will prod them.

If we're going to be over on that end of Whyte, there's a punk bar just north called DV8 -- very divey - that has good local beer on tap.

DV8 has live music on Fri and Sat at 9pm, so we'd have to set an early time.

True. Any idea who's playing that night? Alternately, there's Wünderbar, just down the road. I'm definitely interested in keeping to places that serve local beers.
