Singapore Planning Thread

We need to pick a date and time between July 17 and July 19 and a location.

May I suggest the Yixing Xuan Teahouse? For those who went for the last Singapore meetup, it is just across the street from Maxwell Food Centre.

I should be able to book the place and persuade them to stay open a little later than usual.

Any Singapore Mefites interested?

Alnedra: Oh, the teahouse is great! Count me in; I'd like to vote for a Saturday, if possible.

Btw, as I understood it, the last meetup didn't happen; folks just happened to be busy then. :-)

So here's the plan. I'll schedule this meetup for 18th July (Saturday), beginning 6pm (although I'll probably be there earlier), if there are no alternative suggestions in the next 48 hours.

Would you be able to join us later? The teahouse closes around 9ish (or 10 if I beg them), and we could adjourn to Maxwell Market for some late night desserts or something.

Does 6pm mean there'll be dinner available at the teahouse? Anyway I won't be able to linger for long; have got other plans tonight. But I definitely am looking forward to seeing everyone at the first Singapore mefite meetup! the cydonian - I figure we'll stand out from the crowd (I hope).

All too soon the meetup has ended. It was really fun, and funny! Unfortunately while I had internet access, I simply couldn't upload comments to this thread. The connection kept timing out.

But it was great meeting hellopanda and friend (join us! join us!) and the cydonian. We have to do this again!

I had lots of fun! You folks are seriously cool, mefi-cliches notwithstanding ;)

I'm glad the first ever Singapore mefi meetup was successful. Thanks Alnedra for pulling this off and introducing us to the teahouse!
