Picnic and bonfire!

July 18th - Picnic and bonfire!

Just starting the thread to further discuss plans.

The Ocean Beach people suggested we get down to the beach at around 4PM to ensure we get a pit so I made the picnic a little earlier. As suggested before, a few of us can head down to the beach around then to reserve a pit (relentless hovering should do the trick), though I’m still not exactly sure how it’s going to work out. Others suggested that they may just attend the bonfire in which case they’d be happy to reserve a pit while everyone else is at the picnic. I figure we can work things out further as more people confirm their plans.

So, picnic! We have grills and we have tables 3 & 4 in Lindley Meadow. I’ll provide burgers (garden, too), hotdogs, some baked goods and drinks, though I’m hoping others will pitch in, as well, because it looks like it could potentially be a pretty large group.

Other suggestions for food and activities welcome here!

Fire pits are located in the "teens" stairwells (15-20?), equivalent to between Lincoln and Fulton.

There's a parking lot there. I don't remember any bathrooms there.

No glass or alcohol allowed on the beach.

Okay, I'm confused. Is this in addition to the other meetup in Lindley Meadow? Or will everyone from the latter be going to this one eventually?

This is in addition to the picnic, but you can go to either one or both.
